Music & Me: Aspen Broadnax Organizes The Noise

Aspen Broadnax started out as a music blogger who wanted to help independent artists share their stories. She went from sharing music to interviewing some of her favorite artists. As the creator of Aspen’s Organzized Noise, she is no stranger to good music and content! I caught up with Aspen as we discussed being a creative, her favorite music genres, and her biggest 2019 goals.

When did you fall in love with music?

AB: “I fall in love with music at the age of 5. My dad introduced me to music at a very young age. He is a music lover as well. I have an old soul so I listen to Luther Vandross, Sister Sledge, and The Isley Brothers. I have that inner ratchet side where you can find me bumping Boosie, Webbie, UGK (Rest in Peace Pimp C), and YG.”

What do you love most about being a music influencer and what inspired your personal brand?

AB: “Good question. I love the music, of course. I live for the new releases dropping on a weekly basis. I love giving the people something new and different to listen to on a weekly basis. The beauty of it all is introducing my audience to artists and songs that they would not listen to on a regularly basis. It is quite amazing to see how many people trust my music selection. I am so thankful that people trust my music taste enough. Being a music influencer always me to share my emotions and feelings with the music I share, it really always me to embrace who I am as a women. My favorite genre is R&B, so please be aware, look out for my slow jam vibes.”

AB: “Alex Isley, Rose Gold, Luther Vandross, Terrace Martin, Big K.R.I.T., Nick Grant, Anthony Hamilton, Anita Baker, Jhene Aiko, and Elhae are some artists that made me love and appreciate music more. They helped me define the art of music. This is a hard question because I have so many artists that have helped me understanding my love for music. It grows deeper and deeper each time I listen to music.”

What advice do you have for someone starting or running a creative business?

AB: “Never give up on your dreams. Be yourself. Write down your ideas and hold onto the tight them. Let your ideas develop and become what they are supposed to be. When things get difficult, don’t give up… let it be a reminder you should go harder to get the permanent reality you always wanted for your career. Find your purpose and your lane.”

aspen6

My passion grew deeper and deeper over the years. I am a music influencer within R&B and Hip-Hop music culture. My vision has always been to showcase indie artists and give them a music platform (Aspenmartinmusic.com) that they can relate too. I specialize in curating playlists in R&B and Hip-Hop genres, I also specialize in helping independent artists develop their brand as far as their “look”, social media platform, and help them grow within their music. I have always been known as the girl with the latest tunes when it comes to R&B and Hip-Hop music culture. I love curating playlists via Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, and Soundcloud. If I could curate a playlist for a living, I would be the happiest girl in the world. Be on the look out for Aspen’s Organized Noise.
