Black Owned Vegan Candle Company Gives Back to Other Black Owned Businesses

J’Luxe Scents & Co is a luxury vegan candle company that was launched by an empowering woman by the name of Jamese after she experienced two job losses back in 2019. Jamese has always loved candles, but started to experience headaches from big brand stores ones when burning traditional candles. She started to do research on the ingredients and figured this would be a great opportunity to present a vegan and healthier alternative to the candle industry. She decided to take a leap of faith and start her business, and faith has been the very thing that has allowed her business to be successful. She makes all of the products herself with all natural and eco friendly ingredients while also having a full line of products from candles, room/body sprays and car diffusers. J’Luze Scents & Co has over 15 different scents to choose from. The candles were designed to create a total experience for candle lovers. All candles come with a music playlist that matches the scent of the candle.

The initial vision behind J’Luxe Scents & Co was to create a high quality product at an affordable price that people would love and possibly light up a dark room for someone in the process. Jamese hopes to provide the same feeling for someone else going through a hard time. The names of the candles not only reflect the scent of the candle, but also promote love, laughter, and life for all women.

J’luxe Scents & Co. also loves to give back to other entrepreneurs by collaboration. This collaboration is a way for them to give back to our black community while also keeping our dollar circulating within our communities and grow together. If we as a community team up together, we can be a force. Every month we feature another black owned business on social media. Candle Mood Boxes are self care boxes that includes the following:

“Our goal is to expose mass audiences to the amazing things happening in other black owned businesses. This is a great opportunity for small businesses to place their products in our candle boxes, where customers can experience a small sample of their product that makes the customer want to come to their business for more.
