Tell us more about your agency, Vibrant Communications and about Post Entertainment

PT: “I launched Vibrant Communications in 2016. An agency that’s committed to helping businesses create dynamic narratives that speak to every consumer while impacting culture. I believe in integrated communications so we focus on a variety of tactics from media relations, partnerships, influencer marketing and events.”

What are your favorite things about working in PR and media?

PT: “It’s ever-evolving. I’ve been in the industry for 12 years and the tactics and trends that were successful when I started in PR have changed. It’s amazing to see how digital has grown to become the go-to for communicating and connecting with consumers (e.g. social media, online stories, influencers).”

Has a mistake ever led you to success?

PT: “I will say that mistakes do help me in becoming better. There have been mistakes I made along the way in launching Vibrant that has helped to implement better and stronger processes. The mistakes have helped to approach situations differently, find better solutions and ultimately grow.”

What would you tell yourself ten to twenty years ago that you wish you knew then?

PT: “Twenty years ago it would be to dream as big as you can. Always go bigger, no need to play it safe. I think we limit ourselves. Ten years ago, you are good enough. No matter what others may say. I’ve had situations – being let go from jobs – left feeling like I wasn’t good enough. I am in a place where I know I am not just good but great on my way to even greater.”

What is your go-to when you’re feeling uninspired?

PT: “Reading. Reading stories especially about fellow entrepreneurs always leave me motivated.”

What does success mean to you?

PT: “I’ve redefined success and I take it one day at a time. Success for me is anytime I stay true to my mission and vision when seeking out projects or working with clients. Success is making it through my to do list weekly, meeting goals for my business monthly, reaching campaign goals quarterly for a client. I think it’s important for us to define success on our terms and not society’s.”

What is your ideal work environment?

PT: “I love unconventional spaces. I’ve worked in a park before that had free Wifi and absolutely loved being outside. Definitely felt a bit more free in thinking while being focused.”

 Describe yourself in three words.

Adventurous. Determined. Creative.

What can we expect from you in 2019?

PT: “More and more! I’m all about leveling up throughout the rest of the year with my clients and my own business. More clients.”

What do you love most about being an entrepreneur?

PT: “Freedom. Building a business that is allowing me to help people grow their businesses and share their stories with their target audiences, while also working providing other professionals an opportunity to learn more about the industry. There’s nothing like using your gifts to help others.”
