I”ve been doing a lot of “spiritual maintenance” these past couple of days. Even though I’ve been under the weather, I got a lot scratched off my to-do list. I was able to spend more time with God and less with people. I started reflecting on this year and focusing on things I need to change in 2018. The most important piece of advice I’ve ever gotten was “your only limit is you!”
Things I’ve learned:
1.) Everybody will not be happy about how God blesses you. And that’s not your problem. Period.
2.) Everyone can’t come with you. This even means some of the people you love.
3.) People’s opinions about ME have nothing to do with ME.
4.) Once I cry and dry my eyes about it, its time to do something about it. Crying about something twice requires too much energy. If I can’t change it, I can change my perspective about it.
5.) You can’t do epic things with basic people. You have to seperate in order to elevate. Stop trying to be on every scene. Stop trying to hang with people who don’t even know themselves yet when you’ve already discovered your purpose. You can’t expect people to believe in you if you’re “sleeping” on yourself too. Its impossible and it drains you.
6.) The pain you have been feeling cannot compare to the joy that is coming. -Romans 8:18
7.) The more you find yourself, the more you realize how important self-care is. Take care of yourself. There is only one you.
With love,
