In our busy life, spending quality time with our loved ones is delicate and important to us. We enjoy when we have time to catch up with them to hear about everything going on in their lives. We pray every night thanking God for another day and we might faithfully go to church every Sunday to fellowship. But do you spend quality time with him? Do you take out the time to ask him how are YOU making his day go? Are you pleasing him? Is there an assignment he needs you to do? Just like our loved ones, God wants our time as well. He wants to be included in your plans on a Friday night. He wants to know what’s going on in your life, not because he already knows, but because he wants to hear it from you personally. People might think “quality time” has to be just about praying and repenting for your sins. It doesn’t have to be boring at all. There are so many fun and powerful ways you can spend quality time with our Father.
PRAY– Who says prayer has to be redundant and boring? Find a quiet homey spot in your home, whether it’s a war room, or simply a tiny corner in your room. Get comfortable and just talk to God in your normal state. Tell him about your day, the improvements you want to make, etc.
WORSHIP– Going to church is a part of worship, but it doesn’t stop there. SACRIFICE time to spend with GOD and watch how your life changes. When you want to go out with your friends, but you know you need to pray- obey and stay at home to pray.
DINNER AND A MOVIE– Hope I didn’t lose you guys with this one lol. When you go on a date with someone, you are trying to get to know them better. Even though a date with God is a different date on a spiritual level, there is so much to learn about God that we don’t know. Make a one-on-one date with God. Cook and eat dinner with him alone. Pick out a movie yall both enjoy and watch it together. This is a time to talk to him, pour out your thoughts, and meditate on him.
WRITE– Keep a journal and record your daily thoughts. Write down your goals and your desires. Claim it and speak it into existence.
BIBLE STUDY/CELL GROUPS-When you’re learning the word of God, it’s your duty to spread the word to people who are lost and needs deliverance. God doesn’t want you to be stingy about him. Find a cell group to join or attend a Bible study to participate in.
MAKE A VISION BOARD
If you want it, claim it! Write the vision and make it plain.
READ THE WORD OF GOD
“BASIC INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE LEAVING EARTH” Seek him and you shall find him. Find a Bible that suits you in your Christian walk. Every answer to your problems is in THE BOOK OF LIFE.
